Each Friday, we highlight some of the bills and resolutions introduced in the Ohio Legislature in the past week. Since I will be out on Friday, it's a day early. For questions about these bills, or to see the full list, contact Laura Dixon-Caldwell.
It was a rather quiet week in the legislature, with only two bills of note.
This bill would would authorize certain psychologists to prescribe psychotropic drugs for the treatment of drug addiction and mental illness.
This bill would allow dogs in the outdoor areas of restaurants. A similar bill, HB 263 was introduced in June and was referred to the House Economic Development, Commerce and Labor Committee. As you can imagine, people have lots of opinions on this bill. You can read more at the Cincinnati Enquirer, USA Today, and the Columbus Dispatch.
