Law Library Launches Lexis Digital Library

Hamilton County Law Library now offers ebooks via the LexisNexis Digital Library to its subscribers and local government officials.  We've chosen books most popular with our users for our launch of this service.  If you've borrowed ebooks through your local public library, chances are OverDrive, our ebook interface, will be very familiar to you.  You may borrow up to five ebooks at a time.  Typically, the loan period is one week.  To access the digital library, login to our website and select Lexis Digital Library from the list of available databases.  You will use your usual username and borrower number if you have remote access as a subscriber benefit.  There's no special software to install; you can read right in your browser.  If you prefer, you can check out the books and read them on Adobe Digital Editions.   Don't have a login?  Contact library staff to get your login information or to apply for subscriber benefits.

Here's a little incentive to try out the Lexis Digital Library:  we will pick two lucky winners in a random drawing on April 10, 2015 from among those subscribers and local government employees who've checked out ebooks from our collection between March 10 and April 10 at noon.  One winner will receive a $10 gift card to Kitty's Coffee and one winner will get $10 on an HCLL photocopier card.  A cooperative effort with the Consortium of Ohio County Law Libraries, Hamilton County joins Franklin County as the initial participants in this state-wide agreement.  Please ask a librarian any questions about using the Lexis Digital Library.
