It’s International Beer Day: Time to Brush Up on Ohio Liquor Law

Today, August 4th is International Beer Day!   As you celebrate, here are some state laws to be aware of.

Ohio Revised Code Title 43 covers liquor law.

4301.01 defines beer as "all beverages brewed or fermented wholly or in part from malt products and containing one-half of one per cent or more of alcohol by volume."

4301.21 Rules for sale of beer or intoxicating liquor for consumption on the premises.

4301.22 Rules for sales of beer and intoxicating liquor under all classes of permits and from state liquor store.

4301.62 Opened container of beer or intoxicating liquor prohibited at certain premises

4303 Liquor Permits

4511.19 Operating vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs - OVI.
