I hope that you are all feeling healthy and strong in this time of social isolation.
If you are looking for a few minutes of professional development (or a break from home-schooling), I have discovered that the CBA has recorded all of the TedX style talks and posted them on their YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/user/CincinnatiBarAssoc?sub_confirmation=1
So, if you were unable to attend any of the sessions this year, you can catch up with the online videos. You can learn about the future of legal education, with Dean Verna Willams of UC Law, or how to transition from private practice to public service with Ohio Supreme Court Justice Patrick Fischer. You can learn about the value of having a diverse workforce with Matthew Whitlow of Macy’s, Inc., or the importance of networking and making connections with Eric Kearney, President of the African-American Chamber of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
Each discussion is about 10 minutes, in the TedX Talk style. And, they can fit into your schedule however you want, whenever you need.
The CBA Health & Well Being Committee has also made their Balanced Living Lectures available for viewing on the CBA’s YouTube channel as well. And, tomorrow at noon, they are offering a live presentation, “Breathe Deep: Practicing Meditation and Mindfulness During Crisis.”
Stay safe and stay healthy. See you soon!
